Welcome to The Everyday Nutritionist. By using this website, booking an appointment or engaging my services, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

If you have any questions about these terms, please contact me before booking or commencing a consultation.

1. Nutrition Services

  • The Everyday Nutritionist provides individualised nutrition education, assessment and recommendations based on the information you provide.
  • Nutrition consultations and information provided through this website are not a substitute for medical diagnosis, treatment or emergency care. Where appropriate, I may recommend that you consult your GP, specialist, pharmacist or another qualified healthcare professional.
  • You are responsible for providing accurate and up-to-date information about your health, medications, supplements, allergies, diagnoses and other relevant circumstances.

2. Bookings & Payments

  • Appointments must be booked through the available booking system or by arrangement with The Everyday Nutritionist.
  • Payment is required at least 24 hours before your scheduled appointment. Your appointment may be cancelled if payment has not been received within this timeframe
  • Prices for consultations and services are displayed on the website or provided to you before booking. Prices may change from time to time; however, the price applicable to your confirmed booking will apply.

3. Cancellations & Rescheduling

  • If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, at least 24 hours' notice is required.
  • Cancellations or rescheduling requests received less than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment time will incur a cancellation fee of 50% of the consultation fee.
  • Failure to attend an appointment without notice will also be treated as a late cancellation and the 50% cancellation fee ill apply.
  • The cancellation fee may be waived at the discretion of The Everyday Nutritionist in exceptional circumstances.
  • If The Everyday Nutritionist needs to cancel or reschedule your appointment, I will provide as much notice as reasonably possible. You will be offered the option to reschedule or receive a full refund of any payment made for an appointment that I cancel.
  • Nothing in this policy excludes or limits any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.

4. Refunds

  • Refunds are considered in accordance with these Terms & Conditions and applicable Australian Consumer Law.
  • A refund will generally not be provided for a change of mind, missed appointment or late cancellation where the applicable cancellation fee has been incurred.
  • This does not affect any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law, including rights relating to services that fail to meet applicable consumer guarantees.

5. Supplements & External Testing

  • Where appropriate, I may recommend nutritional supplements or nutraceuticals.
  • You are not required to purchase supplements recommended by The Everyday Nutritionist.
  • Where supplements are recommended, I may provide access to a third-party practitioner platform such as Vital.ly, Rener or another appropriate provider. These services are operated by third parties and their own terms and conditions, privacy policies and fees may apply.
  • Where appropriate, I may also recommend or arrange nutritional, pathology or other testing through an external provider. Testing providers operate independently from The Everyday Nutritionist and their own terms, fees, privacy policies and testing procedures apply.
  • I do not guarantee the availability, accuracy, turnaround time or results of services provided by third-party providers.

6. Privacy & Personal Information

  • Your personal and health information is handled in accordance with my Privacy Policy.
  • By providing information to The Everyday Nutritionist, you acknowledge that your information may need to be collected, used and disclosed for purposes associated with providing your care, managing your appointment and operating the business.
  • Specific consent may be requested where required, including for AI-assisted consultation transcription or note-taking.

7. AI-Assisted Tools

  • The Everyday Nutritionist may use AI-assisted tools to support certain administrative and professional tasks.
  • AI tools do not replace my professional judgement or make clinical decisions. Information generated or assisted by AI is reviewed by me before being used as part of your care.
  • Where AI-assisted software is used to listen to or transcribe your consultation, separate consent will be obtained.
  • Further information is available in the Privacy Policy and relevant consent forms.

8. Website Content

  • Information provided on this website is intended for general educational purposes and should not be considered individualised medical or nutrition advice unless provided as part of a consultation.
  • While I make reasonable efforts to ensure information on this website is accurate and up to date, I do not guarantee that all information will always be complete, current or free from error.

9. Intellectual Property

  • All content on this website, including text, graphics, photographs, branding, logos and original resources, belongs to The Everyday Nutritionist or is used with permission.
  • You may not reproduce, copy, modify, distribute or commercially use my content without prior written permission, except where permitted by law.

10. Third-Party Links & Services

  • This website and my services may contain links to or involve third-party websites, platforms or services.
  • I am not responsible for the content, security, privacy practices, availability or services provided by third parties. You should review the relevant third party's terms and privacy policy before using their services.

11. Limitation of Liability

  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Everyday Nutritionist is not liable for loss or damage arising from your use of this website or information provided for general educational purposes.
  • Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded under Australian law, including rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

5. AI-Assisted Tools

The Everyday Nutritionist may use AI-assisted tools for certain administrative and professional tasks, including assisting with summarising information, preparing educational resources and improving practice efficiency.

AI tools do not make clinical decisions. Any AI-assisted clinical documentation or recommendations are reviewed by me.

Where an AI tool processes personal or health information, I take reasonable steps to ensure that its use is appropriate and that information is handled securely.

AI-assisted consultation transcription or note-taking requires separate consent. You will be given the opportunity to consent to this separately and may choose not to participate in AI-assisted transcription where an alternative process is reasonably available.

6. Overseas Disclosure

Some third-party technology, payment, communication, AI or other service providers may store or process information outside Australia.

Where this occurs, I take reasonable steps to ensure that your personal information is handled in accordance with applicable privacy obligations and the privacy and security practices of the relevant provider.

7. Storage & Security

I take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.

Information may be stored electronically using third-party systems and service providers used in the operation of The Everyday Nutritionist.

I retain health and personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide services, meet legal and professional obligations, resolve disputes and maintain appropriate records.

When information is no longer required, I will take reasonable steps to securely destroy or de-identify it, subject to any legal or professional requirements to retain it.

8. De-identified Information
